3rd Grade Student
Jaymz, who is an A student, has only ever known school at Robison Elementary. He appreciates the kind and respectful environment around campus and looks forward to learning and having fun. He is currently the student council treasurer and, when he’s not at school, is involved in jiujitsu.
Jaymz is a perfect example of what it means to be a Robison Roadrunner!
Food Service Site Lead
Dulce is an eight-year Tucson Unified employee and has spent the last five years at Robison, working in the school cafeteria. Prior to working in schools, she worked in the restaurant service industry and served as a restaurant manager for more than 10 years. It was never really the plan to work in the school food service industry, but it’s where Dulce has found her calling.
“It’s just something that happened and I think it’s my thing now,” Dulce said.
Besides working the lunch period, the cafeteria staff also services breakfast – and that is Dulce’s favorite time. She has more time during breakfast to interact with the students and get to know them better.
“They’re good kids,” Dulce said. “I like the way they think and be a part of their creation.”
CSP
Therese has worn many hats over the last 14 years she’s been at Robison, including teaching second, third, fourth and fifth grades and serving as RTI. But this year she took on her latest venture, becoming the school’s Curriculum Service Provider.
The 26-year Tucson Unified veteran now works directly with teachers instead of students, but still helps students indirectly. She helps teachers of all grades and specialties throughout her school by providing more resources and professional development to staff.
“It kind of gives me the opportunity to affect all of the kids through the teachers, kind of helping them guide through all of the stuff that we have to get through as teachers,” Therese said. “It’s really impossible to do in just the classroom by yourself.”
